Clarksville gave me the foundation to build my career and raise my family. My mission is to give that same opportunity to the next generation — by planning thoughtfully for growth, investing in safe and connected neighborhoods, and bringing a common-sense, accessible voice to City Hall.

Meet John Robinson
I grew up in Clarksville and went to school here. After earning my degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee, I chose to come home and build my career in the community that invested so much in me.
Today I serve as Director of Operations at Blackhorse Pub & Brewery, overseeing a longstanding local business in addition to our second location in Alcoa, Tennessee. I work downtown every day alongside people who care deeply about Clarksville's future. My wife, Allison, and I are now raising our young daughter here — and like many parents, I think about what Clarksville will look like ten, twenty, and thirty years from now.
Will our roads and infrastructure keep pace with growth? Will our neighborhoods stay strong and safe? Will the next generation have the same opportunities that made this such a special place to grow up? Those questions are why I'm running. My background in finance, business operations, and community involvement has prepared me to bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to City Hall — one that's accessible, transparent, and focused on our families, neighborhoods, and local businesses.
The Plan
Clarksville is growing fast — and that brings real opportunity and real challenges. Here's where I'll focus.
I'll push for planning that ensures growth strengthens our community instead of overwhelming it — protecting the character of our neighborhoods while preparing responsibly for the future.
Our roads and infrastructure have to keep pace with the people moving here. I'll prioritize practical, fiscally sound investments that ease congestion and keep Ward 7 moving.
Families deserve to feel secure where they live. I'll work to keep every Ward 7 neighborhood strong, safe, and connected for generations to come.
You deserve a council member who listens and shows up. I'll be accessible, transparent, and accountable to the residents of Ward 7 — not the other way around.
